For some time now it has been accepted that even the best coaches needed someone to turn to should they find themselves unable to overcome a particular problem or situation the can arise during a coaching relationship. They also need someone with whom they can discuss their own ongoing professional development and ensure the maintenance of their skill levels.
In order achieve this the Association of Coaching (AC) and the European Mentoring and Coaching Council (EMCC) both strongly recommend that all coaches I some form of coaching supervision.
Supervision ensures that the coach receives
Confidential support for their Coaching
Up-to-date and current coaching practice
The latest best practice
Monitoring of their progress and help to improve performance
Continuous professional development
My coaching supervision is provided by Katie Harvey of Katie Harvey Coaching. Katie has a Diploma in Coaching Supervision and has been coaching for many years. My discussions with Katie are totally confidential and never include any reference to my coachee’s by name or position.
